Temple Sha’arey Shalom of Springfield is hosting its third annual “Texas Hold ‘Em” Poker Tournament on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 1p.m.-6p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Temple.
The community is invited to come out and play for a chance to win one of nine prizes. The Grand Prize is $1,000, Second Prize is $500 and Third Prize is $250. The other prizes are worth between $50 and $125. All prizes will be in the form of TD Bank Visa Gift Cards. The value of prizes may be increased and additional prizes awarded depending on the number of entries. The entry cost to play is a $50 Buy In. Rebuys and Add On Buys will be available.
Scott Silverstein, event Chair, adds “Our first two tournaments were a huge success with a wide array of players. We're looking forward to another fantastic event. We're grateful for the support we've received from the entire community and we hope everyone will come out and play.” The tournament will be fully licensed and run by a casino company with professional dealers, chips and tables. Erev Shabbat services take place from the second through the last Friday of each month at 8pm and ALL ARE WELCOME.
