Got Grass Clippings? Drop Them Off During DPW's Expanded Hours

The Springfield Department of Public Works is open longer to take your grass clippings.


With the nice weather, everyone's out doing yard work. But what do you do with all the grass clippings? 

The Springfield Department of Public Works announced it has expanded its hours to accomodate all the extra grass waste. The expanded hours for grass clipping drop-off are:

Tuesday 7 am -10 am – one extra hour
Friday – 7 am -10 am – one extra hour
Wednesday – 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm – additional day and 2 additional hours

Clippings can be dropped off at the Department of Public Works Garage, located at 54 Center Street.

Also, when electronic recycling occurs during the first Saturday of the month, grass clippings can also be brought to the Community Pool location.
