Springfield H.O.P.E. Toy Collection Brings Joy to Local Families in Need

Collection continues through Dec. 20.

During the season of giving, Springfield H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Endure) is offering an opportunity to spread happiness to the youngest members of the community this holiday.

The non-profit organization's annual toy drive is underway through Friday, Dec. 20. Those looking to donate new, unwrapped toys will find collection boxes labeled 'Toys for Springfield Kids' at Hecht Chiropractic, Turning Pointe Dance Center, the Springfield Fire Department, in schools and throughout town. For additional locations, visit Springfield H.O.P.E.'s website. Toys are needed for children up-to the age of 15. Older teens will receive a gift card.

Financial donations are also appreciated. Checks can be made payable to Springfield H.O.P.E and should be dropped off or mailed to Hecht Family Chiropractic Care, LLC, 201 Mountain Avenue Springfield, NJ 07081. Beyond filing fees, all proceeds from Springfield H.O.P.E. directly benefit families and individuals in need in Springfield township.

Springfield H.O.P.E. recently partnered with Stew Leonard's and Seabra Foods to deliver 20 Thanksgiving turkeys and baskets of trimmings to Springfielders who may otherwise gone without this holiday.

Hecht said the toy drive has grown exponentially each year, thanks to the generosity of residents supporting others within the community. Last year, more than 200 gifts were distributed to local children and teens.

For information, visit Springfield H.O.P.E.'s website or e-mail Dr. Gary Hecht at toys@springfieldhope.com.
