Celebrate New Year's Eve in Springfield

Ringing in the new year close to home? Here are some options:

Scotty's Comedy Cove is hosting a special event for New Year's Eve with Chris Monty, Carollann Valentino & Jerrold Benford from 8 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monty is one of New York’s busier comedians and a terrific actor, according to Scotty's. He is currently touring in an original play that he co-wrote titled “Shut Up, Sit Down & Eat!” He has written for “The Joan Rivers Radio Show” and hosted his own show on Long Island’s WGBB radio. Along with multiple gigs opening for Joan Rivers, B.B. King, and Johnny Maestro & the Brooklyn Bridge, Monty headlines at the following venues: The Borgata Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City and The Riviera in Las Vegas.

McLynn's is hosting dinner specials and live music from 'Felt' starting at 9:30 p.m. followed by a midnight celebration to ring in the new year. Visit McLynn's website for info or call for reservations 973-258-1600. The Morris Avenue bar and restaurant opens at noon on New Year's Day.

Cathay 22 will offer its regular menu. Reservations are recommended and can be made at 973-467-8688.
