Recently, the Union County Women's Political Caucus hosted “Meet the Candidates” at the Springfield Free Public Library this past Sunday. Candidates running in Union County were invited to attend and had an opportunity to speak before a large group followed by a Question and Answer period.

The Republican Candidates for Freeholder comprised of Marc Krauss, Mark Martini and Ira Geiger were the only full slate of candidates from any party in attendance. Missing from the event were incumbent Freeholder Chairwoman Linda Carter and Candidate Sergio Granados. Other candidates from Democrats for Change and Real Democrats for Change were also in attendance.
