Post-Sandy Stability & Recovery Information Friday Morning Bulletin

Friday Emergency Post-Sandy Stability & Recovery Information Bulletin from Springfield Mayor Ziad Andrew Shehady

The Springfield Township Committee, municipal officials and volunteers are distributing the following bulletin throughout Springfield.  Information will posted on the Township website at http://www.springfield-nj.us and my personal website at http://411.shehady.us

This is an important public service announcement for Friday, November 2nd from the Township of Springfield.

  • Come together to feel the warmth of a strong community at the Springfield Community Bonfire being held today, Friday November 2nd at 2:30 PM at Florence M. Gaudineer Middle School’s Rear Parking Lot.  Gather together to boost morale, provide mutual support and keep spirits up!  Springfield officials will put out information and answer questions.  Charging Stations, Water and Snacks will be available.  Tell your neighbors to help spread the word!
  • Two Community Recharge & Warming Stations are available at the Sarah Bailey Civic Center (30 Church Mall off Morris Avenue) and at the First Aid Squad (10 North Trivett.).  The Sarah Bailey Civic Center will also be used as an information center and is available for all residents as an overnight shelter in light of the dropping evening temperatures.  Please consider this valuable resource but you will need to arrive no later than 10:30 p.m.
  • Free ice will be available at the Springfield Municipal Pool (on Morrison Road) from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday November 2nd.  One bag per family.
