SFD part time NOT volunteer

What I am proposing is part time, non-benefited employees. We can hire state certified emgerency service workers, and maintain the same safe coverage levels at MILLIONS in savings.  The engines have GPS and our town is tiny anyway, the part-time FF's will have the same level of training for a fortune less. No more take home vehicles (no need), no more wasting taxpayer dollars. The SAME SERVICE in house ready to respond for MILLIONS LESS. Explain how that doesnt make sense? Our town is not busy and is small so dont try to say the town will burn down because they may have to refer to a map if the gps should go down enroute to a fire/ems call. That is what the officer riding the seat is supposed to do anyhow; Verify location of emergency and type of structure responding to.
