Car Crash at Dayton Parking Lot Lands Two in Hospital

Two people involved in crash brought to Morristown Hospital; their condition is unknown.

Following a two-car accident in the parking lot of Jonathan Dayton High School, two people were taken to Morristown Hospital.

Shortly after 2 p.m., a driver lost consciousness while driving in the school’s parking lot. The car rolled into a parked car—which hit a pedestrian—before hitting the school.

It is not known why the driver passed out. A witness said the driver was in cardiac arrest when emergency services arrived.

The pedestrian suffered non-critical injuries and was conscious after the accident. Members of Springfield’s First Aid Squad brought both injured people to Morristown Hospital. 

Information about the accident is scarce. Springfield police said the accident is under investigation and could not give any information on the condition of the two people in the accident.
