NJ.com: Volunteer Springfield Police Officer Arrested For Child Porn
Retired Roselle Park officer reportedly had over 1,000 pornographic images of children on his computer.
Ronald Scull, a 30-year veteran of the Roselle Park police department and a volunteer officer for Springfield's force, turned himself into the U.S. Attorney's office for child pornography charges. The arrest came at the end of a 14-month investigation.
A number of different law enforcement agencies had investigated Scull, including Roselle Park and U.S. postal inspectors. Reportedly, when searched last year, Scull's home contained thousands of pornographic images of children as young as 10 years old. He resigned as a Springfield volunteer officer last August.
