UPDATED: According to emergency communications, a woman was arrested this morning in the parking lot of on Route 22.
Emergency Communications say New Jersey State police pulled over the car in the parking lot of the gym at around 7:50 a.m. Police say the car had a stolen license plate affixed to its bumper.
An employee of Bally saw four or five patrol cars in and near the gym’s parking lot, along with a tow truck. The police cruisers and the tow truck, the Bally employee said, had left the scene by 8:15 a.m.
Springfield police said township officers assisted in the arrest. State police said the incident was under investigation and would not release details other than to say that no one was hurt.
