Serious Accident Causes Route 78 Delays
Eastbound lanes were closed with only the shoulder open during the accident investigation.
An investigation into a serious crash closed eastbound lanes on Route 78 Sunday afternoon, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
The accident occurred west of Exit 48 in Springfield. Information on the cause of the accident, the number of vehicles involved and the extent of injuries was not immediately available.
Only the shoulder of the road was open during the investigation.
