Springfield Man Arrested On Burglary Charges

A Springfield man and a Westfield woman are arrested following a Springfield police investigation.

Following an investigation into a series of burglaries of homes in Springfield and neighboring towns occurring over the last few months, Springfield and Westfield police have arrested a Springfield man and a Westfield woman. The arrest was made in Westfield on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
 
Springfield resident Kamil Ciesluk, 21, and Kristin Modowski, 18, of Westfield were arrested. Both were charged with four counts of residential burglary, theft and receiving stolen property according to a statement from the Springfield Police Department.

Springfield police made the arrest after surveillance operation. According to a report by the New Jersey Local News Service, a witness to one burglary recorded a partial license plate number. Police reportedly connected the number to Ciesluk’s car.

The matter is still under investigation. Ciesluk was released from custody after posting bond. Modoski is incarcerated at the Union County Jail.
