Springfield Police Arrest Four Drivers With Suspended Licenses

Springfield Police Arrest Blotter for Feb. 23 - 28, 2013:


DATE: 02/23/2013     TIME: 12:17 am    LOCATION: Hillside Avenue

Carlos Bustos, age 48 of Elizabeth, was arrested by Officer Erik Knudsen
for Driving Under the Influence of Alcoholic Beverages after the motor vehicle
he was operating was observed by the officer to be driven eractically. He was
later released with a municipal court appearance date.


DATE: 02/25/2013     TIME: 1:47 PM    LOCATION: Route 22 East

Edward Mercado, age 28 of Newark, was arrested by Officer Daniel Zieser  after the motor vehicle he was operating was stopped for having
a suspended registration and driver license and he was further found to
have an outstanding warrant for his arrest issued by the Westhampton
Township Municipal Court. He was later released after posting bail.


DATE: 02/25/2013     TIME: 10:32 pm    LOCATION: Route 22 East

Shakir Scott, age 27 of Newark, was stopped by Officer Joseph Leniart
for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver license and registration
and subsequently arrested for bench warrants issued by the City of Newark
Municipal Court. He was later turned over to the Newark Police Department.


DATE: 02/28/2013     TIME: 3:43 pm    LOCATION: Route 22 West

Shene BROWN, age 22 of East Orange, was stopped on Route 22 West
by Officer Ryan Westover for the operation of a motor vehicle with
a suspended driver license and was subsequently arrested for having an
outstanding bench warrant issued by the Irvington Municipal Court for
failing to appear in court. He was later released after posting bail.


DATE: 02/28/2013     TIME: 10:48 pm    LOCATION: Morris Avenue

Officers Ercan Sidar and Anthony Reimer arrested Joseph Vinyard,
age 29 of NY City, after the vehicle he was operating stopped for having no
brake lights and Vinyard was found to have an outstanding bench warrant
issued by the Franklin Municipal Court for failing to appear in court. He was
charged with operating the vehicle while his driver license was suspended.
He was later released on bail.
