State Trooper has Single Car Accident on 78

Reasons for crash are under investigation.

A New Jersey State trooper drove his cruiser into a guard rail on the westbound Rte. 78 on mile marker Springfield at 9:22 this morning. The trooper received minor injuries in the single car crash, but did not need to be taken to the hospital. 

No one else was hurt. 

A spokesman for the State Police said the trooper lost control of the vehicle for reasons that are under investigation. The scene was cleared shortly after the incident.
