The volunteer squad is in its 65th year of serving the community.

The 2014 officers of the Springfield Volunteer First Aid Squad were installed at Tuesday evening's Township Committee meeting.

The officers are as follows:

President: Elizabeth J. Fritzen
Vice-President: Kenneth Siletski
Secretary: Lauren (Jill) Siletski
Corresponding Secretary: Amelia (Amy) Rossomando
Treasurer: Zachary Sandman
Captain: Apu Mullick
First Lieutenant: Shane Ronan
Second Lieutenant: Richard Raymond
Training Lieutenant - Jeffrey Shanes
Supply Sergeant: Matthew Raymond
House Committee: Stu Maslow

Following the officers' swearing in, officiated by Mayor Richard Huber, Township Commiteeman Ziad Andrew Shehady thanked the volunteers for the "tremendous job" they perform donating "countless hours" in service to the community. Shehady said while the squad always needs more members, those who do not have the time to make the commitment can make a donation. Information on volunteering and contributing is available on squad's website.

Huber also thanked the squad, adding, "You all have our support."

Fritzen told the committee the squad is in its 65th year.
