Dems to Nominate Richard Huber for Mayor
Reorganization meeting set for 2 p.m. Wednesday.
The Springfield Township Committee will ring in the new year by swearing in a new mayor.
The committee will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Municipal Building for its organization meeting. According to the meeting's agenda, viewable here, Committeeman David Barnett will nominate Huber, who served as Deputy Mayor during 2013 and was re-elected in November, as the chair of the committee. Committeewoman Margaret Bandrowski will nominate Barnett for vice-chair.
Jerry Fernandez, elected in November, will also be sworn in. The mayor will then announce the members of the Working Committees for the year 2014.
