New Officer Sworn in to Springfield Police
Robert Bertucci joins force as probationary police officer.
At the Springfield Township Committee meeting in Tuesday, May 22, Robert Bertucci became the newest member of the Springfield police department.
Bertucci, hired as a probationary police officer, has an extensive background in volunteer law enforcement, having attained the rank of sergeant in the auxiliary police force in Edison. At the swearing-in, Springfield Police Chief John Cook looked forward to having Bertucci on the force.
“He’s going to be a great asset for us,” Cook said.
