New Springfield First Aid Squad Members Recognized

First aid squad is always looking to increase its volunteer ranks, members said.

The Springfield Township Committee recognized the First Aid Squad's newest members to take and pass the State EMT course and become New Jersey State Certified EMTs at its Tuesday evening meeting.

They received pins in honor of their achievement from the following officers: President Liz Fritzen, Capt Apu Mullick, and Lieutenants - Shane Ronan, Jeff Shanes and Tracy Voorhees. The new EMTs welcomed with copious applause from the audience.

Fritzen said the graduates dedicated countless hours during the summer to making Springfield "a safer place."
