Tickets for Mayoral Swearing-in Celebration Available
Party at Sofia's Italian restaurant immediately follows swearing-in ceremony.
Mayor-elect Ziad Andrew Shehady will be sworn into office on January 3, with a reception immediately after the ceremony. Tickets for the reception are now on sale until January 2.
Shehady, who spent a year out of office, will be back in the position after challenge current Springfield Mayor Hugh Keffer. In 2010, Sheday became the and the Republican mayor of a town dominated by Democrats for over a decade.
Deputy Mayor-elect Jerry Fernandez and Committeeman Mark Krauss will also be sworn into office in the same ceremony in Springfield's municipal building, starting at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome to the ceremony.

The after-party will be held at Sofia's Italian Restaurant in Springfield. Tickets are $30 per person.
