The township is actively looking for JCP&L street lights that are no longer working correctly in the hope of having them fixed by the utility.
"We can use your help in identifying street lights that are not working properly," Township Administrator Anthony Cancro stated. "We will report the street light on your behalf if you provide the following complete information:
1. Pole Number: for example - JC 1234 SF (on the pole, approximately 6 ft. up the pole, usually facing the street)
Street or closest house number –
for example – 100 Mountain Ave
3. Closest Street – for example – Wabeno Ave
4. Nearest landmark - for example – Patriot Park
5. Describe problem: Light is not on at night; OR light stays on during the day, OR light is flickering/dim."
Complete information can be sent via e-mail it to: streetlightproblems@Springfield-nj.us or via fax to 973-912-2277, or by mail or in person at: Town Hall, 100 Mountain Ave, Springfield, NJ 07061 ATT: Street Light Problem Survey
The Township asks that those reporting problems include their name and contact information in case further information is needed.
