Booker, Lonegan Springfield Picks in Senate Primary

Ronald Reagan and Teddy Roosevelt also garnered local votes in the special election.

Voters in Springfield joined the rest of New Jersey in giving victories to Democrat Cory Booker and Republican Steve Lonegan in Tuesday's special U.S. Senate primary election.

The two party nominees will face off in another special election on Oct. 16, and the winner will go to the nation's capital to serve the final 15 months of the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg's term.
