Saint James Alumni Return To School For Operation PAL

St. James alumni and current Marines PFC Phillip Patten and former student Lance Corporal Josh Weber gratefully accepted letters for service personnel who need a lift.

The entire student body of St. James the Apostle School in Springfield participated in a service project supporting Operation PAL (Prayers and Letters).

Students in the lower grades made cards while students in the upper grades wrote letters to the service members who have been wounded, injured or become ill while serving in combat zones, as well as service members that have recently served and then became injured or ill.

St. James alumni PFC Phillip Patten and former student Lance Corporal Josh Weber came home to their alma mater to pick up the letters and visit with each classroom to personally thank the students for their support.

The Marines delivered the cards and letters to service members at the military bases where they are stationed.
