Literacy Volunteers of Union County is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of adults in our county by teaching them to read, write and speak English so they can participate more fully in family, workplace and community life.  The 25 year-old non-profit organization recruits, trains, supervises and supports more than 200 volunteer tutors who work one-to-one or in groups with adult students focused on enhancing their basic literacy, life skills and English as a Second Language.  Our tutors also help prepare students for the GED and Citizenship tests.
