Newsweek Ranks Dayton in Top Schools List

Springfield high school ranked in top 400.

Jonathan Dayton High School has been included in Newsweek's 2011 list of the top high schools in America.

Dayton was ranked 394 of the 500 schools on the list. In the article, Newsweek wrote "each school’s score is comprised of six components: graduation rate (25%), college matriculation rate (25%), AP tests taken per graduate (25%), average SAT/ACT scores (10%), average AP/IB/AICE scores (10%), and AP courses offered (5%)."

Other Union Counties on the list include the Union County Magnet School, the Academy for Allied Health Sciences in Scotch Plains, Governor Livingston in Berkeley Heights, Westfield High and Cranford High.
