Schools, Town Offices, Closed

Snow day for Springfield students; township and county offices see delayed openings and cancellations.

The Springfield Public Schools and the township's government offices closed Friday, Feb. 26 due to snow.

This is the district's third and final snow day allotted for the year.  If the need arises for additional school closures, days students would otherwise have off from school would need to be used.

In a message posted on its Web site at 10:15 p.m. Thursday evening, the school district announced schools would be closed due to inclement weather.  A message was also recorded on the district's school closings hotline. The township's Web site also had a message saying the township's municipal offices would close. Springfield's public library is also closed for the day.
