Walton School Warns Parents to Prepare for Road Construction
Work on roads near the school may cause delays, inconvenience this week.
The following message was sent to parents via Walton school's listserve.

As you may be aware, the road construction on Mountain Avenue will start next week for approximately five days (weather permitting). We have been informed that it will not impact our arrival and dismissal. However there will be road closures and detours throughout our area. It is our understanding that on Monday, Mountain Avenue will be closed starting at Shunpike and ending at Nelson Avenue.

If you are coming to school from that direction, please follow the detour from Mountain, onto South Springfield, turn right onto Pitt Road to Nelson Avenue and then back onto Mountain Avenue to Walton School. School buses will be impacted by the road construction so please expect delays.
It is highly recommended that you GIVE YOURSELF EXTRA TIME TO GET TO WALTON SCHOOL each day next week. Please have your child's name placard visible on the dashboard should you get stopped.
