Walton Teacher Named Gifted Child Society Fellow

As fellow, Dr. Barbara Trueger will attend UCONN teacher training session.

Congratulations to Dr. Barbara Trueger. Trueger, a Teacher at has been named a Gina Ginsberg Riggs (GGR) Fellow by the Gifted Child Society.

As a  Fellow, Dr. Trueger receives a full scholarship for “Confratute” at the University of Connecticut this July. Confratute is an internationally respected institute for teacher training in education of the gifted.

Ten GGR Fellows are picked based on professional excellence, leadership and regional representation. After their training, GGR Fellows  pass along their new knowledge with staff training and program development in their school district and region.

The Fellowships are part of a teacher training program sponsored by the Gifted Child Society. Over the past twelve years, the Gifted Child Society has provided 120 fully-funded Fellowships for New Jersey teachers to develop skills in teaching gifted children through specialized training at Confratute at the University of Connecticut.
