Passionate about Play

I'm very happy to be connecting to the Patch via some of our blog posts on NJPlaygrounds.com.   I hope to bring some value to local parents.  Although we cover all of NJ, as a Springfield resident and mother of three, I look forward to sharing my local perspective and thoughts on a variety of topics regarding kids and fun activities.  I also LOVE feedback, so if you have a favorite place to play, we want to know!

Here is a quick summary of our history:

Since 2008, I have blogged on  www.njplaygrounds.com to help parents and caregivers in New Jersey find playgrounds in their area. As a mother of three, I was interested in finding new places to venture with my kids, and found that playgrounds were not easy to find via the internet. We started to venture to local playgrounds and by talking to other parents we soon had a list of hidden gems to take photos and write descriptions. 

Fast forward to today, I now have a new partner, , supermom and author of "The Playground Guide", who was doing the same thing around the same time but only in print form vs. the web.  We are happy to have connected and are always expanding our reach and audience providing the best places to play in NJ. This has been a fun journey and we hope that through our efforts and community of playground enthusiasts you will find some great places to visit in your area
