Bulldogs Varsity Soccer Open Season on Successful Note

The senior squad defeated Boonton 5-0.

The Dayton Bulldogs varsity soccer team started their 2011 campaign with a resounding victory over Boonton High School in a road game by a score of 5-0.

Sophomore midfielder Tyler Citrin opened scoring for the season, reaching the left corner of the goal 13 minutes into the match. Forward Michael Disko gave the Bulldogs a two goal lead 10 minutes later. 

Halfway through the second half, Disko scored his second goal of the game. Putting the icing on the cake was senior midfielder Eytan Boclin with both a penalty shot along with a second tally with five minutes remaining.

Dayton's signature defense allowed Boonton a paltry two shots on goal the entire match. Accomplishing this feat were defensemen Andrew Reina, Ryan Cutino, Andrew Homlish and Luke Heleno. 

The Bulldogs travel on Tuesday to play at Hillside.
