The Summit and Jonathan Dayton boys’ basketball teams collided in Springfield Thursday night and the Bulldogs came out on top.
With the 49-48 at-the-buzzer victory, Dayton advance to 8-0, while Summit is now 7-1.
Both teams were neck-and-neck for most of the game. The outcome came down to the difference of 3 points during the last six seconds of the fourth quarter. The Hilltoppers answered with a 2-point shot as the clock ran out.
