Two Springfield ballplayers and a baseball bond that can't be broken.
Sammy "Boog" Block and Anthony "A.C." Aclaimo have played baseball together since they were five years old.
A life-threatening illness kept Block off the field this year, but it couldn't keep him away. The team will be in tournament play this weekend and, like he has been for so many games, Block is likely to be cheering on the team and his best friend Aclaimo.
The Green Brook Tournament and New Providence League playffs schedules are below. (Games are played in Green Brook at the Martin T. Walsh Baseball Complex)
