Springfield Basketball Association Seeks Volunteers

Help is needed both on and off the court.

Lace up those high tops! As the Springfield Basketball Association looks ahead to the 2014 season, the organization is asking for the community's assistance both on and off the court.

From coaching and administrative responsibilities to sponsorships, the basketball association would love some help and support, according to its Facebook page.

If you are interested, send an email with your name and phone number, and whether you'd like to coach (or assistant coach), or help with administrative work to springfieldnjbasketball@gmail.com.

Sponsors for teams and clinics, including the Play 4 Kay Pink Zone fundraiser for Breast Cancer research are being sought. Both corporate and personal sponsors are accepted.

"We are looking to organize several clinics and fundraisers, and bring in college players and more to help," the association stated. "If you can spare an hour, 2, or anything, we would really appreciate it. We have a lot of great ideas from parents over the last few years, and we would love to keep rolling out more this season. It's a lot of fun, and we do it for the kids. We hope you'll be able to volunteer a few hours or more to a great season!"
