Investors Bank Robber Remains At Large Following Midday Heist

Investors Bank was robbed shortly after noon Wednesday by a man who presented a teller with a handwritten note indicating he was wearing a bomb and demanded money, police said.

Springfield resident Stephen Ondish couldn't be happier about opening his business, Elite Fitness, in his hometown.

The certified strength and conditioning specialist, who has lived in the Township for close to two decades, decided to move his sports and personal training facility from Millburn to the corner Morris Avenue and Caldwell Place in Springfield and hosted a grand opening celebration Thursday evening.

Outgoing Mayor David Amlen Thanked for Service to Springfield

Mayor David Amlen presided at his final meeting as chair of the Springfield Township Committee on Tuesday evening. 

The outgoing mayor was presented with a plaque and thanked for service by his Democratic colleagues on the committee as well as members of the public.
