Community Corner

11th Annual “Taste of the Towns” Tonight!

A palette pleaser for a good cause!

Get your taste buds ready. In just a few hours, the Rotary Club Community Projects and the Springfield PTAs/PTSO will be toasting to a night of good food for a good cause. For $35 at the door, you will have access to over thirty food and liquor vendors.

Starting at 6 p.m., on Route 22 West will open its doors for a three hour feast. Last year, restaurants such as , , ,, and more made appearances, so we anticipate this year will be equally delicious.

A silent auction will round out the night, with donations from local merchants and service providers. Dr. Gary Hecht, one of the organizers reminds us why this event is so important to the community.

“The taste of the towns is a wonderful opportunity for local food and drink establishments to show off their goodies to local residents," Hecht said. "Also, the basket auction and silent auctions add to the excitement for our guests. All monies collected are turned around and distributed to local, national and international projects. That is the mission of Rotary: Service above Self."
