Comedy Showcase For The Jordan Lee Fish Foundation

Comedians perform at Dayton on April 16.

The Jordan Lee Fish Foundation is hosting its first Comedy Showcase on April 16 at 8 p.m. in Halsey Hall Auditorium at Dayton. The foundation was founded in 2003 after the passing of my 14-year-old brother Jordan, a Dayton freshman.

We continue to keep his memory alive by providing scholarships to the Springfield School System to students who exemplify Jordan's school spirit, love for theater and the music program. The foundation also supports numerous other foundations who make a difference in the lives of others. Most recently, we have awarded some campers the chance to attend Comfort Zone Camp, a place for grieving children.

Jordan had a zest for life and an amazing sense of humor. It's only natural for us to keep his memory alive through a night of non stop laughter. Some of my industry friends helped wrangle the top NYC Comedians on the scene and together, we have slated an incredible bill of acts. Yannis Pappas (Vh1's Best Week Ever, MTV, Chapelle's Show) Brooke Van Poppelen (TLC's American Chopper, The Food Network's Emeril Live), Jared Logan (Recently awarded "Best Comedian" by the Chicago Comedy Awards), Daniel St. Germain (Comedy Central at Crash Mansion) Fraser Young (Producing Parker, Dino Dan, Naked Fashion) will be taking the stage with a few others. Prepare to laugh.
