NJ Blood Service Thanks Dayton Students, Faculty for Donations

Over the past year, Dayton students and faculty donated 268 pints of blood.

At Monday's Board of Education meeting, Springfield Schools Superintendent Michael Davino told the Board that he'd received a letter from New Jersey Blood Services (NJBS) thanking Jonathan Dayton High School students and faculty for their ongoing commitment to helping the organization maintain an adequate and safe blood supply for hospital patients.

Over the past year, Dayton students and faculty donated 268 pints of blood. Davino noted that according to NJBS, 17 percent of blood donations come from high school students.

The next blood drive will be held Thursday, Oct. 24.
