Something for the Kids on Black Friday

The Springfield Y puts on the Kids Carnival of Caring today.

For every parent who is still in a turkey-induced coma today, there is at least one child suffering no such ill effects. By 9 a.m. this morning the kids where probably bouncing off the walls and you were thinking, "What can I do with them?"

The YMCA in Springfield, NJ wants to help. Today, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., they are holding the Kids Carnival of Caring which the Y touts as perfect for kids ages 3 to 12. Proceeds from the event go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

Things to do at the fair include carnival games, moonwalk bounce, face painting, princess make-overs, balloon scultiping, arts and crafts, musical chairs, free-throw contests, hula hoop contests, simon says, limbo, and the always intriguing "and more!"
