Township Committee Meets, Ribbon Cut at Turf Field This Week

Tuesday's Township Committee meeting will open with a 9/11 memorial observance.

The Springfield Township Committee will hold its workshop meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Firehouse. The agenda includes reports from the following departments:

  • On Tuesday, the committee will hold its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The meeting will begin with a 9/11 memorial observance.

    Evan Berkowitz, who attends Florence M. Gaudineer Middle School, is raising money to help fight the disease that affects his cousin Tova Shapiro. In her honor, Berkowitz will host a fundraiser from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday,  at The Ice Hut to benefit Concerned Friends of Cystic Fibrosis. 

    A ribbon cutting ceremony at the artificial turf field will be held on Thursday ahead of the Bulldogs home opener against Bernardsville. Check back with Patch as the time has yet to be determined.
