The Cannonball House

The Cannonball House is an historial site managed by the Springfield Historical Society, which is located on the premises. Officially the Hutching House, this site is called The Cannonball House because it was hit by a cannonball during the Battle of Springfield. It is one of only four houses left standing in Springfield after the retreat of the British during the American Revolutionary War.
