The Springfield Volunteer First Aid Squad should be recognized and commended for the fine work theyRead More do. Recently my 78 year old Mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She got very sick suddenly and fell, tried to get up and fell again. I called 911 and they were here in minutes. They treated a very sick elderly lady with speed, gentleness, compassion and dignity. I saw them later in the day at Overlook and thanked them again. They acknowledged my thanks with quiet humility as they got the next sick or injured person off the gurney and to the safety of the Emergency Room. God bless them.
