Springfield Skaters Start the New Year with a Bang

Local skaters take the ice at Manhattan's Bryant Park.

On Jan. 5, Precisely Right Synchronized Skating Team's junior team, consisting of 20 high school-aged girls from the tri state area, skated in “Sing & Skate Against Breast Cancer” with Winter Olympians, Kimmie Meisner, Emily Hughes, Nicole Bobek and Jo Jo Starbuck at CitiPond, Bryant Park in New York City.   Precisely Right was honored to be asked to skate for such a great cause with these Olympians. While the junior team exhibited in NYC, the Pre-Juvenile (including  FMG seventh graders at Jessica Kaplan and Marissa Steiner) and Open Adult teams took on the fierce competition at the Colonial Classic Synchronized Competition in Lowell, MA. Springfield Skaters Take Part in Hurricane Sandy Holiday Toy Drive-

Team brought toys and took to the ice.

Precisely Right Synchronized Skating Team, a competition team out of Mennen Arena in Morristown, is proud to have participated in the Hurricane Sandy Holiday Toy Drive at the Palisades Center Ice Rink this past Saturday. Our Junior and Pre-Juvenile Teams brought toys for victims of Hurricane Sandy to the Palisades' Holiday Ice Show, and also performed their programs as part of the show.  Springfield residents, Jessica Kaplan and Marissa Steiner, were among the participants from Precisely Right.  The skaters will be performing their programs again on Saturday, Dec. 29 at the Snowball Classic at Mennen Arena. Precisely Right's Junior Team will also be featured as part of the 'Sing & Skate Against Breast Cancer' ice show on Jan. 5, 5 p.m. at …
