Monday Despite the Martin Luther King's Day holiday, Springfield schools are open today. Per an announcement at a December meeting of the Springfield Board of Education, classes are in session to make up for time missed earlier in the school year. The Inter-Faith Clergy Council will have an observance honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. at 11 a.m., in the Kenneth Faigenbaum Committee Chambers on the second floor of town hall. Tuesday The Springfield Township Committee holds its second meeting of January at 7:30 p.m. at the Springfield municipal building.
