Soccer Club of Springfield Brings Holiday Cheer to Children's Specialized Hospital

Over 30 players players delivered hundreds of toys, games, electronic devices and gift cards to the patients of the hospital.

For the third consecutive year, members of the Soccer Club of Springfield visited Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside to deliver presents and bring holiday cheer to the patients. Over 30 players, ranging in ages from five to 14 visited Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside earlier this week to deliver presents and spread holiday cheer. The players delivered hundreds of toys, games, electronic devices and gift cards to hospital patients.  After delivering the presents, the Soccer Club players toured the hospital, including stops at the therapy pool, playground and gym.  The staff and patients were very appreciative of the Club's donation and will be giving the items to the children for the holidays, birthdays and as …

Temple Sha'arey Shalom Makes Sandwiches for the Hungry

Temple members worked with Summit group BRIDGES in homeless outreach

Members and friends of Temple Sha'arey Shalom gathered for a "Mitzvah Morning" on Saturday, Jan. 28, to make sandwiches and lunch bags for the needy.  The synagogue partners annually with BRIDGES, a non-profit outreach in Summit that works with the homeless.  Temple volunteers also helped to distribute the lunch bags and other necessities to the Irvington Neighborhood Improvement Corporation (INIC).
