JOIN THE SPRINGFIELD AUXILIARY POLICE For more than 45 years, the Springfield Auxiliary Police have served as an immediately available source of manpower to augment the services of the Springfield Police Department during special events and emergencies. Auxiliary Officers are required to perform a minimum of eight hours per month of training patrols. Training Patrols are performed in one of our fully equipped Auxiliary Police patrol cars. You can make a difference! You can help protect your family, community and neighbors by joining the Auxiliary Police.
