ReplyOne thing I forgot to ask in my post was why Marc even mentions the Madison Health Dept. The township handles all dog licensing issues so what purpose did it serve to mention them at all?

ReplyDoes this sound ridiculous? Absolutely. But if I'm reading this correctly, it says it is state mandated. So what choice does the township have?

ReplyDespite the fact that I was a huge Ted Williams fan, I've never been happier then I was to watch Gary Carter start that rally in game 6 of the 1986 World Series. I always liked the idea that Boston didn't win a world series for such a long time after they sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees. The Kid just helped keep that streak going.

ReplyCongratulations to the players and coaches. Sports teaches a lot of things, but one of the best is to never give up and keep working together as a team.

ReplyPernetti's gut instinct was to fire Rice but he allowed other people to dissuade him from what he instinctively knew was right. So he paid the consequences for not doing the right thing immediately. Rice's behavior was improper and the only question is what took so long for Rutger's to do anything about it.
As for Eric Murdock, he was the only person who did anything right and after notifying the university they refused to renew his contract. Anyone trying to blame him for anything should have their head examined. He lost his job for basically being a whistle blower about improper behavior by his boss. That his attorney asked Rutger's to settle his complaint regarding wrongful termination prior to them filing a lawsuit is exactly what anyone would have done. Murdock should be applauded for standing up for the players. -

I'm certainly sorry this escaled into ridiculousness. Apparently it isn't appropriate anymore to say something nice without being questioned about motives.

Congratulations. They always do a great job and are an underappreciated asset in the community.
