Speedy Mart Sells $10K Winning Mega Millions Ticket

Ticket was one of six third prize winners sold in New Jersey.

While no one won the top prize in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, a ticket redeemable for $10,000 was sold at the Welsh Farms Speedy Mart located at 160 Mountain Ave.

NJ Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger announced Wednesday that one lucky New Jersey Lottery player won the second prize of $250,000 and six others each won a $10,000 third prize.

This isn't the first time a Springfield convenience store has sold a winning ticket. In June 2012, 7-11, located at 205 US Highway 22, sold one of five winners in the $1,081,540 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot.

With no winner of the top prize Tuesday, the Mega Millions jackpot is up to $145,000,000. The next drawing to be held Friday 11 p.m.
