Springfield Unveils Patriot Park & Town Garden

Marc Krauss and Denise DeVone tell us about a new park and garden.

Townhip officials and residents gathered at Patriot Park last week on the 231st anniversary of the Battle of Springfield and to christen the newly completed playground and growing public garden at Patriot Park on Wabeno Ave. near the intersection of Mountain Ave.

Township Committee member Marc Krauss oversaw this park from its inception to its unveiling and talked about how the park came to be built. Denise DeVone, Chairperson of the Environmental Committee, gave Patch a exclusive interview about the new town garden across from library and apartments. there is still room available at the garden; Denise asks interested horticulturists to contact her at ddevone@aol.com.
