Dayton Soccer Player Needs Your Vote to be Named Best in County

Senior Ricci Rajoppi made The Star-Ledger's list of contenders for best girls soccer player in Union County.

Jonathan Dayton High School senior Ricci Rajoppi is among eight high school girls soccer players competing to be named the best player in Union County in a poll launched by The Star-Ledger.

On Tuesday, the Ledger put out its first county specific soccer poll of the season. 

Making its case for Rajoppi, the Ledger wrote, "The four-year starter in the net at Dayton, Rajoppi has shut out eight opponents this season while making 148 saves."

"I'm honored to be nominated with all these talented girls from Union County," Rajoppi said. "I have to give credit to all my teammates who play hard all game. I want to support them and give them the confidence that I will do everything I can to protect the goal."

Rajoppi supporters can vote once per hour. The poll will be closing at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday.
