Photos: Springfield's Farmers Market

Local Jersey grown produce brought fresh To market.

This Monday,  saw a steady flow of shoppers seeking locally grown produce and specialty items.

This year, the market expanded from four booths to eight, and each vendor offered a variety of flavors. 

Alstede’s Farm Stand was attended by farm hands Martin, Juras and Roman.  Their tables were well stocked with sweet corn, tomatoes, garlic, broccoli, three colors of eggplant and more.

The DefCon Sauces table was manned by John Dilley and his spread of sauces can provide the needed ingredient to kick up any dish a notch or two.

Walt Zyck of the Country Stand stood behind tables holding a fine spread of vegetables.

Pickle Licious was a unique stand containing jars of Sweet Red Pepper filets and various olives, rounded out by several barrels of a variety of pickles.

And, lastly, Krakus Polish Deli was just laying out a spread of polish mustard and sausages.

The Farmers Market will run every Monday until October 31 from noon till 6 pm.
