Congregation Israel of Springfield Sets Date for Annual Dinner
Congregation Israel is the oldest orthodox synagogue in NJ, tracing its roots to Congregation Shomrei Shabbos founded in Newark in 1882

Congregation Israel of Springfield will be holding its 39th Annual Dinner, Monday, March 19th, 2014. A Tribute Journal will also be published to recognize the accomplishments of the noted Honorees.

The dinner will be held at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston, NJ.

Congregation Israel is the oldest orthodox synagogue in NJ, tracing its roots to Congregation Shomrei Shabbos founded in Newark in 1882. The current synagogue relocated to Springfield in 1973. Its spiritual leader is Rabbi Chaim Marcus.
